So if you got invited to a Halloween or Friday the 13th Party and the person really loves the scary side of things what would you expect to be there?

The whole yard done up so the moment you turn up there are things scary there, or errily have the front of the house blank, compeltely quiet not a light on nothing and when you get to the door and open it and walk in that's when the fun start with things jumping out, dangling etc etc.

I am planning a Friday the 13th party for next year, our only opportunity is August and I am getting the ball rolling now - I want people jumping, screaming as well as having fun.

So any suggestions, links to props you think could help etc etc let me know.

Yeah I have wanted to do it for a couple years and finally decided I will do it next year - I am still tossing up between a Friday the 13th party or a Halloween party.

In our family we have no days that belong to us type of thing, Christmas is shared around everywhere, Easter is always at the In-Laws, Fathers day is split into three sections one for me and my son, one for my dad and one for my in-laws.

And so we are trying to find something we can have as our own where everyone knows each and every year that it is our place type of thing.

So I am seriously thinking of making it Halloween but want to at least give it a test run before hand haha I am confused but know I want to make people jump, scream as well as have fun...

We have a pretty big place and so am thinking the front have all the lights turned off and have people walk through the corrodor with things jumping out etc as they make their way out the back.

I love scary things, love scarying people and people know I am a prankster so would be awesome to have this as our thing - I just don't know whether to make it the latest Friday the 13th or just Halloween every year lol.

But either way I am starting to plan for it now.

Hehe sounds like a plan! Make sure the kidlet isn't home or he will be having some serious nightmares!

Here is one for you:

Have rooms set up with themes, and get some friends as actors for the different room themes.
So one could be like a haunted room, and you could have a friend dressed like a ghost (pale face, white clothing etc etc) and hide in the room and when people come in, the ghost can make appearances.
Another can be like a murder scene, with victims lying on the floor, have some friends dressed up as the victims who come to life every now and then, grabbing peoples feet as the walk past etc etc.
You could put fake blood all around the bathroom, in the bath tub/shower, get a fake butchers knife and cover it with blood etc etc.
