I drive a 2001.5 VW Passat. It was the 'test' group of Passats with the new body style. I really love the vehicle, but I'm starting to think about my next car as it has been acting up a bit and needed some repairs for the last couple of years.

Any suggestions for a smaller (but quality) vehicle with very good gas mileage?

I was thinking about the Mini Cooper, but not sure.

Despite what's going on....their still the best. a mini cooper would be cool as hell also. VW are wayyyy to $$ to work on, as you can't do anything to them yourself!

Boy, I've learned that the hard way! I've spent more than what the car is worth over the past 9 months on the car. So, I'm trying to make a decision that makes sense rather than spending more money on a vehicle that is going to require more work.

I mean, it's been 9 full years (97k miles or so) and I think that I've done well with the car. So, we'll see ;)
